IAMA SJW AMA

well, if every feminist was as well-informed and reasonable as you, i wouldn't have ever said that i hate feminism. it more of the bastardized version of what you'r talking about that shitty people use as an excuse to be shitty that i hate.

the presidency is the most visible example of this, as over more than 40 presidents, not once has there been a woman. there hasn't even ever been a women in the general election! a woman has never received even a single electoral vote! how can you look at that and not think that men might have had some additional advantages?

well, i just looked up the total number of americans there have been. it's 545 million, so 270 million men. 40 of them were presidents. to be honest, i think it's pretty meaningless. sure, i can imagine some sort of scenario where if we as a country only trust men to be president then that must reflect on how we see men vs. women. but, that's just a fiction. unless you can actually demonstrate how all the presidents being men relates to privileges bestowed on all men then it's meaningless. look at it mathematically. over the course of ~220 years .00001% of men have been president vs. 0% of women. not really very meaningful. it's a huge assumption that because the president is male that he's looking out for men, conferring special advantages on them. compare the percent of men who are garbage men to women. i bet it's bigger than 0 to .00001. homeless. war fatalities. also, i hate that idea that women weren't "allowed" to go to war, like it's something anyone would have chosen to do, especially WWI & WWII.

and, like i said, i think, that's just overvaluing a certain thing that men have and women don't. the political realm isn't the only source of power or value. the president doesn't really act on personal drives anyway.

i can imagine a society where, in general, women are treated like slaves, but there's some weird cultural phenomenon where one woman is picked to be the ruler. as a member of that cultural, she sees herself as completely separate from other women and looks down on them like any other member of the culture. so, even though they're always "ruled" by a women, women are still disadvantaged. i think our culture is complex enough that it's impossible to tally up all the different privileges belonging to each gender. by the time you do, individual differences are going to make more of a difference than gender privileges anyway. that why i think it's that biological need to save the women that makes any conscious effort to even the playing field result in an uneven playing field.
