So Ibaka's contract is WORSE than Bizmack's.

First of all if toronto was one piece away from contention(spoiler alert: they aren’t)

"One piece away from contention" means one piece away from being able to realistically make the Finals, i.e. contending in the championship series. I did not say they are one piece away from beating the Warriors. All they would have to do is beat Lebron, and swapping Ibaka for someone like DeAndre Jordan (who is making the same $$ as Ibaka) would significantly improve the odds of that happening.

Regarding their cap situation, they are not over the cap with Ibaka and not without it yes, so yes it matters more.

Even if we entertain your wild notion that ibaka is the only thing holding them back.

It's not wild when you read the words I read, and not the words repeatedly are putting in my mouth.

Would your rather be stuck a good team that cant become great or a bad team that can’t become good?

When the fuck did I ever say I liked our current situation? Jesus dude, read my fucking words and stop projecting please, you're arguing against stuff I never said and it's incredibly frustrating to sit here and argue with a wall.

You’re whining about oladipo and EP

I'm whining that we let Victor Oladipo go, yes. Are you high? Are you happy he left? I don't particularly care about EP but I'm not "whining," I was making a point about our player development being the core issue.

and also say it doesn’t really matter if we lose AG?

sighs

WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF BIYOMBO'S CONTRACT VERSUS IBAKA'S CONTRACT, I POINTED OUT LOSING GORDON WOULD MAKE A SHITTY TEAM SLIGHTLY MORE SHITTY, VERSUS IBAKA'S CONTRACT KEEPING A GOOD TEAM FROM POSSIBLY BEING GREAT. I NEVER SAID I DIDN'T CARE IF WE LOSE GORDON.

As far as player development, if youve been paying attention we have a new FO who just cleared house to address that.

Which is great. That doesn't mean it's fixed. Watch them actually pick some new players and fucking develop them before you declare a new day is risen.

You know what would go well with that? Cap space to sign players.

And who the hell do you think we're going to sign with all this wonderful and imaginary cap space, huh? We're a bottom-dwelling team. Superstars are not coming here till we have a solid foundation. The best we're going to do is overpay some fucking role player.

Even if we knock it out the park and get someone who works well for us (i.e. not the next Biyombo), we're not one non-Lebron player away from being a playoff team.

You’re acting like the choice is ether player development or space, when it’s not.

No, I'm not. The very important point that's going completely over your head, and which is the context for this whole thread, is that we are talking about cap situations relative to their teams,

As far as ‘no one coming here’ if we had money we could trade for a restricted free agent like rozier.

There's about half a dozen guys I'd rather take before Rozier.
