Icefrog: 6.84 is coming after StarLadder

jokes aside the patch isn't 100% bad. dota 2 doesn't deserve to pander to any other stuff and least so LOL, making cheap imitations or compromises resulting in the failure meta that was ti4 (short yet boring matches) the direction to longer games isn't bad. Long doesn't have to mean boring

there's only one truth all else is false truth

there's only one true god (of arts) which is the god that made dota 1

never change from that icefrog

it is true though this patch you're generally better off farming your ass off however it's not true you can't do shit dual roaming/other stuff..that's literally a lie. everything that has ever existed in dota 2 still works, even tinker's build back when ancients were doable still works, people still go the same build and they can still wreck faces

high mmr and pro players aren't the benchmark of dota 2. you couldn't even say that for dota 1 with its relatively smaller circus (or was it smaller?). there's plenty of abusers of mmr, and there's barely enough resources for pro players to compete with the vastly superior numbers of non pro players resulting in unparalled raw creativity output. Granted there are lots of copycats in high AND low mmr games but dota deserve better than these anti revolutionaries spamming the same shitty arbitrary build for no damn good reason other than it being the meta except the META means you actually out META the meta otherwise it's not META anymore it's only, ,,meta. non capitalized.

IMO it's just that you have to actually follow through with your effectiveness in whatever you do, and just because farming effectiveness is rewarded the most doesn't mean the patch is outright broken for any other playstyle.

what part of OUTPLAY does anyone not understand about a competitive game? the patch can change all you want but the people are still the same, are you seriously claiming you are natively a better player with an arbitrary certain patch vs another? like..oh Dendi is born to kill so he loved the pre ti3 meta or even before those, but hate post ti4 metas?

that's literally bs, and if it's true then sucks to be someone like Dendi. I never hated a patch
