ID request - Western OR, last fall.

Ok, look, my experience is picking in Australia, L. deliciosus mycorhizal on pinus sp. (Mostly p. radiata). However...

Frozen and thawed specimens in my experience retain their deeply saffron colour on the outer portions of the flesh. This would ordinarily be visible where the stem has broken in the cross section, and this is not evident in this image.

The gills are normally more decurrent. Unfortunately we can't see the cap shape, but this specimen lacks the curled over edges so often present in l. Deliciosus.

L. Deliciosus often has "spots" on the stem, which are absent.

The oxidisation is odd for L. Deliciosus. Usually waterlogged specimens just look mouldy and oxidised all over, not just the cap margins.

The specimen is unusually tall, with a very long stem to cap diameter.

The specimen has a very slender stalk for L. Deliciosus.

Basically, what I'm saying is, if it wasn't waterlogged, I'd be looking pretty hard at it, or maybe throwing it into my wtf picking pile for further I'd confirmation.
