Ideas for feeding family of 4 with full fridge and $16 left in grocery budget for the month? And working with a less than frugal spouse...

That's just like, your opinion, man.

My wife and I have bought and used the half gallon of heavy whipping cream from Costco for a long long time now. It's $4.99 and it lasts us at least 2 weeks for the 2 of us. It's 60 calories per tablespoon. I put a small splash in my coffee, maybe 2 tablespoons. That's 12 grams of fat which keep me satiated until lunch time.

And in my opinion, it tastes delicious. Who are you to impose your opinion on me? I don't add any sweetener of any kind. We started using heavy whip with our coffee when we both went low carb/paleo some years ago and it's stuck with us. We lost a ton of weight doing it too, so no need to tell me it's unhealthy. A little bit of fat in moderation is fine, I think it's much healthier than a sugary coffee.

She just decided she wanted to cut out dairy for whatever reason... Except for all the times I point out that she's eating dairy since she's said that.

Again, I didn't go off on her or anything for the Coconut milk... But she just blew through our remaining budget without really planning out how far the items would go. She goes through the half gallon of Coconut milk a lot quicker than it took us both to go through the heavy whipping cream. Just looking for helpful ideas here to help us both get through it.
