Idk much about the backstory

I went through a phase years ago, where I had a conversation very similar to the one posted. The girl who insulted me thought the same thing, that I was trying to manipulate her emotionally. But I was too dumb to even think this way.

When you're too inexperienced like most guys are up to even mid 20s (unlike girls who get socially savvy much earlier), you tend to take rejection personally. You have this naive worldview that practically everyone should be able to like everyone, and if someone doesn't like you, its because one of you is in the wrong.

So you either redouble your efforts (if you think you're not good enough for the person) or get pissed at the other person for being a jerk. This guy is doing the former, while the incels do the latter. As you can imagine its totally possible to do both at the same time (like a lot of neckbeards do)

But usually with age, you have more social interactions and realize that not everyone is going to like you (and you won't like everyone either) and there's no point trying to convince those who don't. It's just human to have preferences and no one should have to justify theirs.

Hope this guys too gets out of this phase with age.
