The Darkness is much too powerful. It shattered possibly Millions upon Billions of Garden worlds before us, chasing the Traveler across the tattered space it leaves in its wake. It drowned maybe a Billion civilizations in their own tears. It ripped our Golden Age and left us smashed, only now, hundreds of years after it actually happened are we now back in a strenght to face it. Everything Rasputin had wasn’t enough. It took the Traveler hundreds of years worth of energy to prevent the true extermination of Humanity and even then, Humanity only survived because the Traveler emitted light after it fell and because the Darkness and Hive never bothered to eat the Traveler. Even the Vex know they should run, to blink away at the mere presence of a Darkness empowered being. The Darkness is power and unless we could use said power and not be turned (Shin Malphur will end us if we do) could we stand even the slightest chance.

I believe that we will force the Darkness into a standstill on (if the leaks are correct) Titan. We will bear arms again and with aid from allies old (Mara Sov, Saint-14, Eris Morn, Ana Bray, and possibly the Traveler and Jovians) and allies new (Mithrax and possibly Savathûn?) we may be able to force the Darkness into a WW1 type space Trench Warfrare scenario and have a defensive ring around the system starting at Titan.
