If you became the leader of Malaysia, how would you change the country?

Rule with an iron fist. Silent any opposing voices, whatever it takes. Either you are with me or you're not. Govern with a one party system.

Accused of corruption? Forget the rule of law, straight to the shooting squad.

Conspiring with rebels? Shooting squad.

Criticise my way of governance? Kidnap, perform public apology and never say a word of what you experienced or face the repercussions.

Ate my lunch even though I specifically wrote my name on the bag? Get accused of something blasphemic that would greatly tarnish your family's reputation and also, shooting squad.

then eventually, get dethroned/assassinated by a more charismatic, more influential and more capable (optional) person. though it will happen...eventually. I am just not fit to rule, I do not have charisma nor the capability of a sociopath.

Abolish any religious law and a unification of the education system. No more vernacular schools, as a compromise, subjects can be taken as electives but all of them are to be conducted in English and only English. You die/die want to have religious law? Apply it to your own state BUT, the governing body will have to be separate from any politically-affiliated body. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Enforce a racial quota for housing similar to what Singapore has. Whether it works or not, I don't care what you think. You gave me power of the country, I do what I want.

Media has always been a key role on maintaining/garnering influences/ideology and with the power of the Internet, it has been much truer than ever. Therefore, I establish a Ministry of Public Enlightenment (minus the anti-semitism of course). Probably should come up with a better name, it's basically just a pseudo-propaganda machine at the end of the day. Censor only stuff that shades our country/government in a bad way.

Mark a big importance in education, improve quality of education. Actually put effort in churning out quality teachers for primary and secondary schools. Make educators/academics one of the top paying jobs in Malaysia.

Befriend China. In fact, negotiate with them regarding control of the South China Sea. Forget building islands, just build a military base here. Build one at Sabah/Sarawak for all I care, just get their infrastructure up to modern standards first.

Royalty / Agong will still be a thing because that's how I will stay in power/perform my biddings. Similar to Putin and the oligarchs.

You may agree with some of my actions but you will not agree to ALL of my actions. That's the reality of it, live with it.

Let's face it, if someone were to be given power of the country for no particular reason, it's going to be mayhem.
