If you believe you’re going to die, then you’re going to die

Your point is a good one, I just think you're saying it wrong.

In what way am I communicating this wrong? I'd like to know so I can improve on how I communicate this idea in the future.

I just don't think lying about it helps anything.

I didn't say that we're supposed to lie to ourselves as you can see below.

Belief in success doesn’t guarantee success, but it certainly increases your chances of survival

Perhaps you believed I was pressuring people to lie to themselves when I pointed out the "wild irrational belief" part. What I meant by that was we should take action while ignoring your rational brain trying to convince you to stop taking action (whether that be in prevention or harm reduction). When it comes to survival, I think there is such as thing as being too rational. At some point you have to throw it out the door to get anywhere. That's what causes people to rush into burning buildings to save others when the probability of death is high. They wouldn't be able to do that if they let their rational brain take over.

My idea might be bound to not make sense to many but in my opinion, if early death is a certain for me, why would I want to go down with a soured soul? I'd rather go down with "wild irrational belief", because as I said, that improves the chances of success (if there is any chance). We have lots of predictions but we don't really know what's going to happen until it happens so why not work like there's a way out?
