I’ve worn the same clothes (not including socks/underwear) for the past roughly 8 years minus new clothes I’ve been gifted.

I would rather look like I don’t have money then that I do. It’s just a preference of mine and I feel like it makes you less of a target.

There is a lot to say about being frugal verse being wasteful.

For example do you need a new car for 45k when You Can buy a equally OK used car for 2k and further cut your cost by not paying a huge amount for comp/collision.

Most of what we waste money on is for a status symbol, stop caring about impressing others and live for yourself it’s a lot less stressful. You can still enjoy having money to spend without wasting it on unnecessary things.
