If you could go back and save the life of one person in history, who would you save, and why?

My sister's friend (And mine too when we were younger, we used to all play together as kids, along with her older brother). When she was 16, she was diagnosed with cancer. This was right before the summer holidays, literally a week or so before. The doctors figured that since it was still in very, very early development, it could wait until after the summer holidays, where they had more time slots available. For some reason, her parents agreed - also to not ruin her summer holiday. Well, when she came back to the hospital, it had developed so far that there was basically nothing to do. They tried for a few months, then gave up. She spent the time up until shortly after her 18th birthday getting progressively worse, until she died in September 2009. Her death tore her family apart. Parents divorced, mother became a husk of her former self, the brother basically disappeared from everyone's lives. In our family, it indirectly lead to my mom and dad divorcing by causing a rift between them that never really healed, and it threw my sister into deep depression which changed her as a person. And, I mean, fuck, she was 18. Old enough to have just barely experienced life before it was ripped away from her. It was all so fucking stupid.

So as selfish as it would be, I pick her. It would've been better for everyone involved if she hadn't died because of dumbass doctors putting off fucking cancer treatment.
