If you could give someone one tip to be a better player what would it be?

RTFC. Cards in your hand. Cards in the board. Just read them and know what they do. I have watched tons of people lose games they should not have lost just because they're unwilling to take a few seconds and actually read the cards on the board. Usually happens in EDH games and it's super frustrating.

Honorary mention: threat assessment. It's so frustrating sitting at a table during an EDH game, watching people waste removal on stuff like big creatures that don't really do anything instead of getting rid of the card that is letting someone draw tons of extra cards every turn. DRAWING CARDS IS REALLY GOOD AND YOU SHOULDNT LET YOUR OPPONENTS DO IT (usually).
