Whilst it is true that many guys who say things like "women only like chad" etc are not in touch with reality, the truth does still lie somewhere in the middle.

Statistics literally show that most women prefer guys who are above 6 foot tall, and the fact that many guys are unable to even get a single date let alone get laid is a reflection of how skewed women's preferences are towards the so called "top 10% of guys".

I'm a 5'10 guy and a significant amount of women have literally said I'm too short for them. I'm a perfectly normal guy - I have a healthy social life, nice hobbies and I take care of myself. I'm in decent shape and I would say I'm an average 6/10 guy.

I have struggled so much with women and dating despite not having anything 'wrong with me'. It can be frustrating to hear the low effort advice like "just shower and take care of your hygiene" as if I'm not already doing those things lol.

Whilst it isn't an excuse to blame women for having really high preferences, I do get where many of these guys are coming from and many young guys can unfortunately fall into that pit of bitterness and resentment if they do not have the right support structures in place.
