If Dwarf Fortress sells millions on Steam, its creators will give the money away 'as fast as possible'

To be honest; that's an move that you don't see from much devs nowadays. Most would become victims to various criminals just because they are rich, or eventually become worse and worse since they've looking on AAA devs who make millions and think that appealing to the masses and worsening the game with greedy systems like loot boxes and P2W things is a good thing.

Well, some of the money could be kept for future medical expenses or something like development, but it's nice to see this behavior. Not every developer would do that, especially those asset flippers and other shady devs on Steam who would rather let them die instead of taking lessons from a much greater product and helping shape games overall.
