If the Earth suddenly stopped moving, would we be able to feel it?

By "stopped moving", do you mean if the Earth stopped rotating around its axis or if Earth just stopped still in space, or both?

In either case, if the Earth were to suddenly stop, i.e. everything is normal and the next instant Earth stops moving, then all humans, animals and other beings not nailed to the floor would be sent off flying. It would most likely end animal life on Earth.

This explained by Newton's first law of motion: "in an inertial frame of reference, an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a force." If the Earth were to stop moving, everything else would still continue to move unless acted upon by a force.
