if everything what we experience is under the plan of god,why there are distress in our life?

It’s niether comforting or praise inspiring when it boils down to God is sovereign. That was good enough for me for years but now it just seems like another way of saying it’s just the way things are let’s set those contradictions aside and continue praising and telling the world of how good God is.

What was the last answered prayer request that you praised God for? Do you believe that God had a hand in that matter? If not then why do you thank him for it? If he did have a hand in that matter why do you think other more pressing matters weren’t addressed? When my church group would meet we would thank God for things like his hand in granting an interview, healing a cold or leg pain, a safe road trip, etc... it seemed like Gods hand was truly over those matters. I never really questioned why he didn’t heal the nephews leukemia, or ease the depression of that one guy who eventually took his life, or the breast cancer of another loved one. The issue becomes less of why is there suffering but more so why does God permit some suffering but help with job interviews and dental pain and entrance exams. Is Adam unfair? Life unfair? Or God unfair? God is ultimately sovereign and life’s just unfair, can’t be God right?
