Unsure how to navigate the situation as a whole. There are absurdities surrounding transgenderism, and the insistence of accepting the ideas/terminology without question, even if questioning it respectfully, seems… intrusive.

That said, historically and even now, trans people definitely have been robbed of respect and dehumanized and put into danger by bigots. They’re people and deserve to be understood.

A lot of people like to think of politics as a pendulum that swings left and right and overcorrects one way or the other. I personally think it’s swung too far left but tbh I’m a lot more concerned for when it inevitably overcorrects to the right. I’ll take absurdity over hatred and bigotry any day.
