If Genshin is such a Lore focused Game, why is there no way to play all the important story-related Events for people who missed those?

FOMO. The game is only going to start rerunning events or put them as permanently accessible content once they start failing to meet their player acquisition / retention goals.

You know Genshin is a character and story-focused game primarily because missing an event just locks you out of the event story; not really the event rewards. 90% of rewards are farmable except for crowns which are largely unneeded. The ones that are limited eventually get added to shops making the FOMO explicitly focused on character development, interactions, and stories.

And honestly, as a lore enthusiast who hasn’t missed a single event since 1.1 (only started playing then), I find that nothing will truly be missed except for 3 that I still find arguable.

Unreconciled Stars is commonly cited because of the revelation that the stars and the sky are fake from 1.1 to now I agreed on that before…but from how the story is going, it’s 99% certain that it will be something that will be touched on when we confront Scaramouche and Dottore. So technically, it isn’t “limited” information—Unreconciled Stars was a sneak peek on what was to come with Scaramouche’s arc.

Susbedo event is arguable but mainly just because of the Susbedo characters. Not the information on Khaenri’ah or Gold because like what Scaramouche unveiled in Unreconciled Stars, I am certain they will bring that information up again in the permanent story.

This year’s GAA is the one I find has the most argument for not being an event but permanent 2nd acts of Kazuha and Mona’s story quests and Fischl and Xinyan’s hang-outs. While there isn’t anything totally new there that you couldn’t read in between the lines from their character stories, it would have been nice to have those to further flesh then one.
