Fair enough. In theory, your vision and wish for the future seems pure at heart.

But... in the real world... China simply hasn't been advancing the bar in any major way, when it comes to major engineering and science leaps (except for perhaps the adoption of solar energy).

It's frustrating sometimes to see how the Chinese government simply tends to just steal everyone else's ideas when it comes to major technological and scientific progress, without crediting them in anyway, and without significantly contributing to the game.

Also, if China would become a major super-power in human space colonization, a lot of people are fearful the Chinese Communist Government will export their particular flavor of dictatorship to the cosmos in general!
