If JK Rowling wanted to continue the Harry Potter series eventually what do you think a new antagonist would be or what loophole do you think she could find to bring back Voldemort. Would it happen after the events of cursed child or before

I saw Cursed Child, and there were several aspects I didn’t like. I won’t launch into a full-on rant here, because I don’t want to cause a frenzy, but I don’t think, continuity-wise, that it would be prudent to consider *Cursed Child * as canon.

I mean, for starters, !<Harry expressly told his son at platform 9 3/4 that he could choose any house that he wanted, finally revealing his dark, personal secret regarding his own experience with the sorting hat to someone. He tells his son this, because he’s letting him know that if gets placed into a house that he’s unhappy in, the hat will allow him to choose another. At the platform, Harry’s son seems absolutely petrified of being placed into Slytherin.

So, it doesn’t make a ton of sense that Harry’s son wound up in Slytherin regardless of his actual wishes. Also, there’s no way in hell that Malfoy’s son (I.e. Harry’s son’s friend) possessed any Slytherin qualities whatsoever; he actually reminded me quite a bit of Neville Longbottom.

And finally, this isn’t even the worst mistake that Cursed Child made. May I remind you that, for eight movies, all three members of the golden trio were white? I absolutely understand the importance of diversity; I believe that a racially diverse culture is an important thing to have in the world, but come on! You can’t capitalize on the fact that J.K. failed to mention Hermione’s skin color in the books by making her black just to earn those “diversity points” that broadway seems to hold in such high esteem nowadays!!! It’s a cheap, almost sleazy, way to get more people to come to your show, in my opinion (#r/unpopularopinion).>!
