If Johnson doesn't care, and UFC doesn't care, and the NYSAC didn't intervene, what's the big deal?

There have been a lot of people that have said that if this wasn't DC, people would be way more pissed. I think the opposite is true. I think because it was DC is the reason why people are talking so much about it. DC carries himself as someone that usually does the right thing, keeps his nose clean of drama and doesn't really talk shit other than to do his best to hype a fight outside of Jones, etc. Now he's seen pretty blatantly and publicly gaming the system, and people are going to crucify him because of his reputation as that "do right kind of guy." If it were Yoel for instance, it would just be another "oh there goes Yoel, finding another way to cheat" situation.

Also, with the ongoing feud between him and Jones, with one set of fans calling Jones a cheater and the other saying that DC is a paper champ, etc. this just adds fuel to that fire.

Right now, I think most people are just going to be more happy that the fight is happening than anything, but this is going to be memed and fought about until the end of time, I'm sure.
