If you like your apartment, you can keep your apartment

Hell yeah man, you ever see those section 8 complexes, or single family homes? We are talking REALLY NICE housing. You got people paying 30% of their income, while section 8 covers the rest. I know a guy who buys out the houses while still in development cash because he turns around and rents them out to people on section 8 for like 2,000 a month. They pay about $600, section 8 pays the other 1,400. Dude has the house completely paid off in 10-15 years time (not his money paying for it) and can then sell the house for its original value + 50% equity or more as long as the area being developed isn't sold to the government later. Since he also uses his equity to finance more homes down the line he just abuses this system.

I swear to god the government purposely makes these easily abused systems on purpose. If not then I can't understand how they could be so stupid. At least in New York they tried to go all the way by fixing rent pricing. Sure all it did was make a bunch of people homeless and stop all housing development, but hey at least they tried!
