So because you didn’t get it, we shouldn’t improve the system so other people going forward can? That’s really childish and myopic way of looking at the situation, especially since the debt cancellation that is being talked about is largely interest from predatory loan practices. If it was just about people paying off what they took out with a reasonable interest rate, I doubt we’d even be having this conversation.

I kind of agree with some of the sentiment in this thread though, I don’t think everyone needs to go to college. but it sounds like the only reason you didn’t go was being priced out and that sucks, but I’d think that would make you want that to not happen to anymore people.

I also don’t think everyone needs to go to trade school or everyone needs to start a business. I know several close friends who have gone to trade school for welding or being an electrician and they still struggle financially. College isn’t for everyone and neither are trade schools or owning businesses.
