If not getting your favorite weapon festivized this year will make you quit TF2, just uninstall now.

A broken and glitchy update with controversial changes merits disappointment and feedback. Not getting fucking Christmas lights on your degreaser merits nothing more than an "Aw man, that sucks."

What? 90% of the feedback post-update I see here is people hopping on reddit for the sole purpose of telling everyone that tf2 now doesn't work for mac users or some other extremely broken element. Sure, the posts between-updates are sometimes about "waah my favorite weapon is underpowered/broken/not shiny" but those people have nothing else to discuss and there are dozens of them.

Everybody got mad with EoTL. People got mad with Invasion.

What I saw during those events were people getting mad because valve decided to cut content from both of the updates based on arbitrary feelings in the internal development team. Later on, people played the EOTL train map and said, "Yeah, it is shitty, but valve removing it wasn't a good decision."

Invasion also introduced tiered crates for cosmetics, which discouraged a lot of people from going ham and uncrating to support the game and community. For every person that said "waah I can't unbox elite-grade hats," there were 50 more saying, "I'd love to give valve my money if the hats in the crate weren't tiered." Not all criticism is selfish.

The TF2 team already has their plate full. Help these people improve the game through criticism, not whining about past updates or threatening future updates.

Are you browsing /r/tf2/new too much or something? Keep in mind there are many underage kids here who got into the game because of shiny hats. Been that way since mannconomy.
