If You Want to See Political Swamps Drained, Look to Latin America

Or just all of them, I don't think anybody of any sense is saying we should look to South America as an example of anything but what not to do. Of the thirteen countries in South America only one has a lower murder rate than the US and Venezuela is the worst on that list having nearly twelve times the murder rate.

This article is acting like they are hard on corruption, and start by bringing up corruption on the highest of their political system. They also seem to indicate that the charges of Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva is an effort to stop corruption. He was the 35th president of Brazil, the 36th Dilma Rousseff was impeached for administrative misconduct and constitutional violation. Followed by the 37th president Michel Temer had two impeachment attempts the second resulting in him being charged for accepting bribes.

I'm sorry but the richest and most influential country in South America just had three leaders in a row who were corrupt, and the article expect people to be looking to them as examples of "draining the swamp."
