I read this five hours ago and I'm still pissed off about it. I don't know about you, but I've built up pretty thick armor against most of the world. Most folks' opinions mean exactly squat to me. You want to insult me, belittle me? I've been hearing that shit since first grade and I guarantee I've heard it all by now. It means less than nothing to me.

But my wife, my family, the people I love? There's no armor there between me and their opinions. There doesn't have to be, because I trust them. If my wife was to say something like that (to be clear she never would)? I'd be gutted. Utterly gutted. The fact that your girl said that tells me she's undeserving of the trust you've placed in her. She knows your weak spots, and that's right where she hit you.

So, yeah. I reiterate my earlier opinion. Fuck her. You can do better.
