If series representation was scaled to sales

My gripe is less about how much Mario is repped and more that some franchises are repped way more than they ought to be. That said, after consideration, the style of character from the franchise I'm talking about is popular, so at a certain point it is less about franchise rep and more about having more characters of the style people like to play.

To stop beating around the bush, my comments were/are mainly focused on Fire Emblem. We have 7 FE reps when it's pretty culturally irrelevant to be hanging with the likes of Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, Megaman, Ryu, and so forth. But, like I said in the previous paragraph, Marth is popular enough as a playstyle in the Smash franchise that it makes sense to a degree to add more characters that play in that same style - people clearly seem to enjoy the swordie-without-projectile playstyle that FE characters bring to the table for the most part.
