If you suddenly became president and had unquestionable executive power over all the laws, what changes would you make for the car world?

  • Timers on all lights so you know how long you have until it changes

  • Speed cameras are gone. Red light cameras can stay

  • "Pacing" a speeder is no longer a legal way to determine speed unless you pace for 1 full minute while staying within 200ft of the car and dash cam video is present. Its not definitive enough and can be abused by a dickhead officer (ask me how I know!)

  • 70mph speed limits on highways with more than 2 lanes per direction.

  • No more emissions testing on vehicles more than 15 years old, but more in-depth safety inspections for those vehicles. Safety inspections occur every 4 years instead of emissions every other year.

  • Stance, Hellaflush, Stacenation, stretching tires, etc is now illegal. First offense has the car impounded and registration suspended until the car is changed back to near-stock configuration, $1000 fine. 2nd offense, the car is crushed and the driver's license is suspended for 1 year and a $5,000 fine. 3rd offense, car is crushed while the owner is forced to watch, license is suspended for 5 years, $10,000 fine. If you're stupid enough to do it again, your license is permanently suspended, you get a $25,000 fine and you get 1 year probation.

  • Speeding tickets for less than 20mph over the speed limit are not considered moving violations and only carry a $25 fine unless the person was speeding in heavy traffic or in inclement weather.

  • For every year you hold a license and a vehicle, your following year of insurance is 100% free with the same coverage.

  • Liability insurance is free if your vehicle is 10 years old or more

  • Importation no longer has an age restriction

  • Registration on vehicles 15 years old or more is only $5

  • No more automatic "reckless speeding" for anything over 80mph

  • Not wearing a seat belt is no longer sustainable as a sole reason to pull someone over

  • Fartcan exhausts are now illegal for road vehicles

  • Straight piping is now illegal for road vehicles, including motorcycles. All vehicles must have both a catalytic converter and a muffler if its going to be driven on the street

  • "Rolling Coal" is now illegal and carries the same penalties as Stance, Hellaflush, Stancenation, etc.

  • Lifting/lowering your street registered vehicle more than 3 inches difference from its stock ride height is illegal. Vehicles must sit at least 4 inches from the ground and no more than 3 feet from the ground unless their factory configuration differs from these guidelines. If you wish to raise it higher, you must purchase a special off-roading registration for $500 and your vehicle must be inspected and deemed worthy of off-roading
