If there was a book titled "How to Kill Your Career in One Easy Step" who would be on the cover of it?

I know it's still a bit fresh, but I honestly believe that in the coming years what happened with Anthony Scaramucci will come to be seen as one of the biggest political career fuck-ups ever.

Think about it. A man with pretty much zero political experience manages to bluster his way into a job working in the White House. Immediately he picks a fight with Reince Priebus -- a man who, by all accounts, is relatively well-liked on the Hill -- and suggests that he's behind the White House leaks. And it works! Priebus is ousted pretty much immediately, and replaced by John Kelly... who immediately fires Scaramucci because he believes him to be undisciplined, because an interview he gave to one of the world's biggest newspapers in which he forgot how on-the-record works and suggested one of Trump's inner circle would like to go to town on his own genitals if he could.

If he hadn't gone after Priebus so hard, it's entirely likely that Scaramucci would have kept his job. Instead, he lost it -- and his eight-month pregnant wife filed for divorce around the same time -- becoming the person with the shortest tenure in history. (Keep in mind that the last guy who held that record -- Jack Koehler, at eleven days -- had to quit because it was discovered that he had been a member of the Hitler Youth.)
