I used to work at the mall and mall security had plate scanners on their cars to catch mall employees not parking in the designated mall employee spots, which were conveniently super far away from the entrances to allow customers have the close up spots. I tried backing in a few times thinking that they wouldn't bother but I guess they recognized my car or something and would get out to confirm the plate and then would leave me a "ticket".

First time is a warning, second time the store gets a fine and then the third time I think they tow your car and fine the store again. I had to go to the main office to get the second ticket dismissed and show proof I bought something in the mall because I was there actually shopping on my day off and came out to a ticket.
