WEll anytime a game is competitive, it gets toxic with random teammaates. Happens in Age of Empires 2 as well.

Bnet is also toxic, but because its full of noobs, there's less of it because most of them don't care as much. It's kind of better I suppose, but the games are so shit. Someone doesnt get to fast expand without harass? Leaves. Loses hero once? Leaves. Then you have trolls who demand you follow their strat or they TK. And then there's the obvious disconnects and drops still happening today on bnet which I don't ever get on W3C.

There is also not a big enough pool of players for proper RT especially 4v4 on W3C. So you get noobs paired with peopel who are pretty good and it's frustrating for the better players, though thats not excuse to be an asshole.
