If you were coaching a brand new team what would you do

Well, for starters you aren’t teaching each LB to play three positions. I’m not understanding where you got that from.

All three are basically interchangeable but that doesn’t mean they play three positions, it means all three positions are the same.

It's three different positions each LB has to learn. Maybe a better way of saying it is each LB has to learn three different roles.

They each have to learn the role of mike LB in a 4-2-5 and all that entails, the role of will LB in a 4-2-5 and all that entails, and the role of the 4th rusher and all that entails, basically adding on as a 4th lineman, including block reaction and destruction, spill rules, etc.

If I have one job, which is to bake pies, and that's all I do, and I do it once a week for a year, come Thanksgiving, I'm gonna be pretty good at making pies come Thanksgiving. However, if I have to also learn how to bake cookies and bake bread, and I get the same amount of attempts, 52, I'm gonna be less good at baking pies than if I had just baked pies, and also, I'm gonna be decent at all 3 instead of really good 1.

But that being said, if it's just cover 1 and cover 3 like you said after that, I guess it's not the end of the world haha.

How do you prioritize talent for all 9 positions in your 3-3? I.e., if you had 10 stars and 1 scrub, where's the scrub going
