If you were on the Oversight Committee, who would you call to testify?

Sure.

"Old guy uses email."

Let's be real here: have you seen the way that Trump speaks and writes? It isn't always super clear what he is trying to say. Should we start dissecting the weird ways that Trump phrases the things he says for codewords and phrases indicative of a conspiracy?

Both guys are (allegedly) billionaires who rarely have to (or had to, in Trump's case) worry about the things they said being analyzed for coherency and such. They weren't raised in our generation where we honed our writing and speech via social media, not to mention being so financially above the rest of us that they could simply pay for communication directors. Writing and speech are simply not skills they were expected to develop.

So, yeah. "Old guy uses email."

But...

I'm not saying that it's not weird or not some sort of code-word, but even if it is a code word, you still haven't demonstrated any reason why it's the government's business. If you're going to defend a President's ability to hide his tax returns, you can't very well attack a private businessman's ability to talk discreetly about what are most likely financial situations. This whole "pedophile ring" nonsense theory is such a Hail Mary from the right. The fact that something is a secret does not mean it's scandalous. Even if you personally don't subscribe to the pedophile theory, you haven't demonstrated why you should have any right to know why a billionaire is using code in his private, stolen emails. Why do you feel that you have the right to demand otherwise?
