If you were them, what would you do with your life?

Hmm.

I would buy out my neighbor's property, and invite my family to come live with me. I have about 2.5 acres, and I'm pretty sure the neighbor has 6. That enough for a couple families. I think I'm one of the few weirdos who, like the Kardashians, would actually love living near my extended family.

I'd get myself a financial advisor and figure out a way to make money without needing to be in the public eye 24/7.

One of the big issues in my state is opioid addiction, so I would throw beaucoup money at that, but I wouldn't have a plan for it. I'd find experts in poverty, addiction, housing, medical care, etc., and I'd have them figure out a plan.

I'd buy up a shit ton of abandoned houses/vacant apartments, hire a bunch of architects and city/living space planners out of college. I always see the coolest projects coming out of university groups like that. I'd ask them to figure out how to turn all those structures into affordable housing.

I'd promise a bunch of money to politicians who would advocate for forest conservation/maintenance, replanting native flora, alternative forms of energy/fuel, and a living wage. I'd imagine you'd need a lot of people for that, so hopefully that would create jobs and be able to get some people in the affordable housing in a better-paying career.

I'd set up a mutual aid allowance per month to be given out to different mutual aid groups.

I'd buy back the family house we had to sell last year. I'd invest in my husband's best friend's meadery/cidery so he could get that up and running. I'd probably add a bedroom or two to my house, and redo the bathroom and kitchen. I've always wanted a soaking tub and separate shower stall. I'd hire trainers for my dogs, and a (fitness) trainer for me. I'd start the biggest vegetable and herb garden in the side yard, and a cottage garden in the backyard. Buy myself a guided fly fishing trip further up north for wild brookies. College funds for all my nephew and little cousins. All of my clothes would be tailored.
