"If we weren't micromanaged."

My current school singlehandedly destroyed any desire to continue teaching. Micromanaging by fairly useless admin who repeatedly talks down to me, below grade level students who should have been held back 2-3 grades ago/they don't try and rarely work independently/they don't complete their work/needy/can't stop talking/need to go over directions 3-4 times and still may not follow them, and parents who aren't parenting or invested in helping their student succeed. I have a violent student who never faces consequences and inspires other students to act out, too.

The future looks bleak for 80% of these kids. I feel powerless and my hands are tied on the supports I can give these kids. I hate it. I truly hate the school I'm at and if most schools are like this, I hate teaching.
