It’s not the same thing at all. If your job is to stare at the wall, your boss can tell you to do that and you can’t complain over labor laws. The same way in McD’s. Your job is to clean the restaurant, so it’s not a “waste of time” to do that. Trust me, cleaning tables and taking trash to the bin is what every employee at McD’s envíes doing, because it’s the least tedious of all the tasks there. You’re delusional.
