If you're new to Warframe, the Plains of Eidolon isn't worth your time

Perhaps off-topic, but maybe one of you Warframe guys can answer this.

I quit Warframe after running into gates on content that I did not find fun. The game wanted me to find and open treasure rooms on Lua (the moon) and kill like 10 rare mobs that spawn on the moon. Also, to go up in warframe rank (sorry, been a while since I played - I'm pretty sure that's wrong. . . the rank you get from mastering different gear and warframes), I had to pass a test that timed me while I had to jump through an area shooting things. I'm terrible at that and could not beat it, so I ended up quitting. I could have "gotten good" by looking up stuff on the internet and practicing, but there are so many other things to play - why fuck with a game that has gates that force you to do things you don't enjoy?

So have they gotten rid of these content gates? My guess is that their designers must have learned something about how gamers have different motivations and that content gates should all be fun activities that most players enjoy and that challenges that only very specific types of players enjoy should be optional side-content, but I don't want to install it again just to see the same boring shit blocking my way.
