If you're not careful the newspapers will...

That’s interesting.

In a weird way, I think Kanye was seeing how far he could go until people dropped him. You didn’t mention how he has now declared himself openly anti-Semitic and has been regurgitating neo-nazi rhetoric. He just fucked around and found out exactly how far he could go.

He was a billionaire. It’s actually kind of sad, because I would argue that his story was an example of the American dream. I think he was absolutely oppressed when he was dead broke in Chicago and was laughed at for trying to be a rapper. Not only did he conquer the rap game, he conquered pop culture. Up to the point of I think up until a week ago he may have been the richest black person in American.

And that’s where it gets sad. Untreated mental illness, limitless resources, and a hyperactive mind ends up isolating a person like this from their true friends. When they say get therapy and take your meds, he cuts them out. He got so addicted to shocking people that he eventually walked himself into a corner that I don’t think he realized the significance of. Or maybe he did, he just thought he was bigger than it.

This isn’t a vast conspiracy by the Jewish community. He isn’t being cancelled because he is black. All that happened was that he learned the hard way exactly what it means to go “too far”. He has bipolar disorder and is in some kind of constant manic state, he has brought this upon himself. The moral of the story is, no matter how famous you are, you can’t go full Nazi.

Not a martyr, not a pawn of a vast conspiracy, not a victim of cancel culture, just another tale of Icarus flying to close to the sun. Just in this case, Icarus isn’t taking his lithium.. and he should have.
