Apparently he doesn’t have a journalism background from what I’ve heard rather he was a YouTube content creator. Knowing that, this makes a lot more sense. He may have been used to churning out content just to get it out as quick as possible, maybe trying to capture the popular viewpoint on things. I doubt he’s familiar with journalistic standards (I’m fully making assumptions here.) I would bet there are many other instances of this from him that we don’t know about. This seems like a bad hire on ign’s part or at least they shouldn’t have had him writing reviews and just stick to videos and podcasts. Letting him go was the right thing to do.
