im in a different time zone and fell asleep when i got all these replies, but most of the other comments get it right that you cannot and will not get something as good as a XSS for $300

but you can build something that is downright respectable for $500

and once (if) the RTX 3060 and AMD cards come out, it's looking like they'll be affordable and high powered enough that you can either A.) put in some extra cash for something brand new and powerful but not wallet-fuckening or B.) buy an older card whose resale value just dropped significantly

and the part that made me ask the question is that the PC is also, yknow, your computer. it's not just a console. and it can do all sorts of PC specific things like work, casual internet, better media center, emulation, and uh... use a certain downloading program on a certain set of websites similar to a late 17th century sailor of dubious intent
