IGN's Dan Stapleton: "As a Fallout fan since 1998 and someone who gave Fallout 4 a 9.5, I'm fully ready to proclaim Fallout 76 a disaster for the series. Fallout 5 needs to be a comeback. It can't be more of the same - it needs to reinvent some wheels. I really hope Bethesda knows this already."

Ok now. I admire your positivity. But it's definitely possible to sink time into something that you don't fully enjoy. There are many factors at play. There are sections of game players who have been playing games for a long time, and it has become something of a habitual experience to play games. Just because they sunk 70 hours into it doesn't mean they enjoyed every minute of it, and very possibly they played it begrudgingly in the hope that it would maybe take a turn and show itself in a new light.

There's also the sheer length of some game experiences to take into account. Games a lot of times feature reparative loops and depending on how they are designed, it's possible to sour on them after so much time that it runs the effect in hindsight.

Again, I understand and appreciate your sense of positivity. It's something that the games community and the internet at large lacks right now. But telling someone they must have enjoyed something just because they spent 70 hours with it doesn't necessarily line up. Would you tell a person who had gotten out of an abusive relationship of so many years, "Well you spend X amount of years with that person, that seems pretty good!"
