Come to IKEA for meatballs, stay for the passive aggressive part-time workers.

If you're open until 9pm, I don't have to leave until 9pm. I'll make sure I'm in the checkout line before and or the door by 9pm, but if it's 8:50 and I need to get something, I'm going to run in and get it.

In my experience working retail and fast food. The employees have to clean up and count out the registers and all that shit. So their shifts don't actually end for 30min to an hour after the store closes its doors.

So you're not actually delaying anyone or keeping them at work longer. The employees who get all pissy about it are trying to close early and get out early. Mainly cause they had a slow night and thought they could start closing early. I hated those nights cause I got paid an hour less.
