I'll be visiting a sex worker to lose my virginity tomorrow.

Hi — I wanted to give my thoughts on this, in case you were genuinely interested in why someone may be opposed to the sex work industry.

Sex work objectifies and manipulates vulnerable people.

How do you know they weren’t trafficked into it? How do you know they haven’t come from impoverished backgrounds? Do you think a happy, well adjusted person wants to have sex with all kinds of people for money?

Now some women that haven’t had a rough start in life and work in the sex industry view sex work as empowering. They enjoy owning their sexuality and making £££ from it. Or so they think. They are financially vulnerable and men are exploiting this. These men are paying to own a woman’s body for an allotted amount of time. It’s sick. They are contributing to the patriarchy. It’s not and never will be empowering. It’s making the best out of a bad situation at best.

A guy sleeping with a sex worker would be a huge red flag as it would mean they hadn’t considered any of the above.
