I'm 16 and I feel lost

I'm not sure if you're American, but I'll mention this in case you are. If you plan on going to university, hold off. The YEAR you turn 24, you don't have to count your parents taxes anymore. You can do school for free that way. I know people don't want to wait, but you can easily avoid tens of thousands of dollars of debt this way - so in case this is you - there's a tip. You can still work in all that time, but just make sure the tax year before you enter school - you're making almost nothing. That would be a great year to branch off and work abroad.

Then you have those years from 18-24 actively trying different jobs and internships to see explore what you actually want to do. You can also do two years of community college so you can still graduate with a BA at 26 WITH NO DEBT. I know you're thinking, "I can't wait that damn long!!", but that's not the right mindset, because your career is LIFELONG. It doesn't end at 30, nor does all of life, as most people seem to believe.

Even if you aren't American/decide to go to uni immediately/etc, just make sure you're taking your time actively exploring and listening to your own interests. You need that patience to know what you'll commit to.

And most of all..don't make friends with fucktards. Seriously, really, truly, just don't fucking waste your time.
