I'm 18 and I will be homeless soon. Please help.

You have more time than you know. An eviction notice IS NOT an eviction. It is a notice TO Start the eviction process. In my State (NH) it takes a minimum of 2 months from the first eviction notice to the actual eviction (if the tenant does not leave right away). The more realistic time frame is 3-4 months.

Has there been an eviction started? Or are you just assuming? This is important because if your mother has vacated the property and there is no currant eviction, there is no reason for you to leave right away. Familiarizing yourself with the Florida eviction process will give you the key info on dates and procedures you need to know.

You will have to leave eventually but in the meantime you can save some money and look for a more permanent solution. It is not ideal but in a world where the options are the street or a rotating couch this is the one i would choose.

During the housing crisis in in 2008, "strategic foreclosures" were a tool that people used to help move on with their lives in a way that helped themselves the most. In a strategic foreclosure one would stop paying the mortgage on their property and wait for the bank to start foreclosure proceedings. Money that would go towards the mortgage is than put in a savings account. This sometimes took a year to get going and when they had enough of a financial cushion or found a new place they would contact the bank and sign the old mortgage over and voluntarily leave. Some banks even had programs that would pay you to leave and not fight the foreclosure.

You may want to do a version of this. It is not the most feel good or "honorable" way but it might be the most financial sound way.
