I'm 22, feel stuck in a rut, need to go to school

I'd recommend starting out at a community college to get general ed requirements out of the way and to get an associates degree. You should be able to transfer these credits to a 4 year university if you decide to go that route.

As far as I'm aware, there are types of financial aid that you can get even if you only go to school part time. Be sure to look into these so that you know your options.

I'm 25 and about a year ago I was really depressed and underemployed. I have a bachelor's degree in a field that I no longer want to pursue, so I pretty much had to start from scratch regarding figuring out what I want to do with my life.

It sounds stupid, but for me, googling and taking a bunch of those career and personality assessments really helped me realize "who" I was, and what direction I should go in. They should be used as no more than a rough guide, but they can help give you direction, if you need it.

Research as many different careers as you can. It took me a while to figure uot what I wanted to do because it took me a while to figure out that the thing I wanted to do even existed. There could very well be a job out there that's a very good fit for you that you don't even realize exists.

As far as college goes, look into a criminal justice major, as this is a good major for law enforcement. It gives a good foundation not just for the knowledge you'd need in law enforcement, but for the knowledge you'd need in other law-related fields.

As far as financial aid is concerned, fill out the FAFSA and then you can figure out where to go from there.

Good luck!
