I'm 22 years old and doctors keep REFUSING to give me the HPV vaccine saying that I "probably already have it" since I'm sexually active. Please help!!

I got the original Gardasil HPV vaccine back in the late 2000s when I was 17ish. Fast forward, I’m now 32 and have recently contracted a high-risk HPV strain ( one that wasn’t covered by the original vaccination which only covered 4 strains). I’ve spent 2 years getting biopsies and LEEPs, yet the infection persists. My gyno, whom I’ve been seeing for 15 years and trust with my life, recommended getting the newer vaccine, Gardasil-9. I will need to clarify if her suggestion came as an attempt to help fight my current infection or to ensure I don’t get any other high-risk strains. I’m not a medical professional by any means, but as someone who has gone through the hell of treating this infection, I think it’s worth pushing to find someone that would administer it. I would never wish this hell on anyone. The worst part is, HPV lives in your system forever, so even once I clear this current infection, it can reoccur throughout my life. Protect yourselves ladies!! Do whatever you can to prevent contracting high-risk HPV. It’s worth it.
