I'm [22F] not sure how to proceed with long-distance "dating thing"(5months) with my [22M] partner anymore

Honestly just don't give up on it I say. Life is so long (though it may seem short) and if it makes you happy now then you should continue with it. How far is the distance?

I met this girl online about 7-8 years ago. We spoke quite often then not a lot and then often again. Last year we hit it off and were so in love. We finally met in person and honestly I was so terrified of what she would think but we really hit it off in person too. I then went to see her a few times before she eventually broke it off (long story). Still, we used to talk every single day for ages and now I miss it greatly - but I would never have given up on love. The distance hurt yes but I never wanted to give it up because I know how special she was.

Basically I hope that shows you to not give up someone you care about. Things can always work out but both of you just have to remain patient. Is some time of long distance worth it for spending potentially the rest of your life with him? I'd say that's how you define it
