I'm 28 and have a Masters degree but no industry experience, where do I go next?

The merit of using my degree is obviously exactly where I want to be but the cost of living in the areas I'd be most likely to find a position wouldn't tally with the prospective wage at an entry or graduate level - so its so far from feasible, I can't even look at it as a possibility. We're talking barely being able to afford food after bills low, a social life would out of the question!

I definitely don't care for the industry I'm currently in and does anyone enjoy health and safety? Really? The contract procurement and organisation and gaining accreditation is sort of enjoyable, but so short lived. This company is too small, there is no growth opportunity and the final straw was a long promised pay rise being beyond pitiful.

My main skill is a cold logic, research and identifying a problem and finding a tailored solution. I know that sounds vague, but I really can find a solution to almost anything put in front of me and I love a challenge. Its so hard to get that across to someone in writing though, I have to be able to prove it. I'm not sure if this is making sense...
