I'm about to buy my first brand new car..

I was shopping for a new car last year. I went to a dealer after doing all my research and I was pretty certain that it was the car for me. I asked for a test drive.

During the test drive, I casually mentioned that I wanted to get the car inspected by my mechanic. The dealer began pressuring me to buy immediately and saying that getting a mechanic is a dumb idea if my "mind was made up". He really tried to put me down and act like I was not smart if I didn't take it.

Long story short: He kept pushing my buttons the wrong way. I stopped the car and went to another dealership. Don't let people push you into buying a car. Make sure everything is right for you, including who you are buying from.
